邊界

邊界 / biānjiè.systems

is a research-driven platform for editorial production, curation, and artistic practice founded in 2025 by the artists and researchers Ian Margo (b. Spain, 2000) and Alexandre Montserrat (世然) (b. Shanghai, China, 2000).
邊界 brings together artists, theorists, and researchers engaged with interface studies, memory architectures, and distributed epistemologies. Operating as an open infrastructure for cultural production, the platform approaches research as public-facing practice through writing, curation, commissioned projects, dialogue and design.

邊界 operates where research stops circulating as academic output or artworld currency and begins to function as situated intervention. The platform produces and commissions work across installation, video, performance, editorial, and AI-mediated systems, working with language, memory, and machine cognition. Across these formats, 邊界 constructs symbolic infrastructures that reframe subjectivity, authorship, perception and attention.

Projects developed under 邊界 have been presented at CEDAR Shanghai, Nguyen Wahed London, ADAF Athens,  OOT Festival London, 120710 Berkley, and Interact Symposium San Francisco, among others, with screenings at Frieze Week London, Internet Core Congress Barcelona, and OpenSecret NYC. The studio has been finalist in SOLO AI Award 2024 and Hyperhouse 2024, and its research has been published through DIFFRACTIONS collective and the Institute of Network Cultures. 邊界 is currently part of the SYBIL ARC2 residency in Berlin.
