邊界_RG (Biānjiè Research Group) is an artists collective and research group founded in 2025 by the artists and researchers Ian Margo (b. Spain, 2000) and Alexandre Montserrat (世然) (b. Shanghai, China, 2000).

Born as an open space for research and cultural production, 邊界_RG brings together artists, theorists, and researchers engaged with interface studies, memory architectures, and distributed epistemologies. From this space, 邊界_RG approaches research as public-facing practice that takes form through writing, curation, dialogue, production and design.

As a collective, 邊界_RG prototypes new possibilities where research operates as situated intervention rather than academic isolation or artworld circulation. 邊界_RG traces the entangled futures of language, interface, abstraction, and posthuman subjectivity across disciplines, tools, and temporalities.

邊界_RG works at the edge of language, memory, and machine cognition. Their collaboration explores the aesthetics of the recursive interplay between generative systems, speculative design, experimental essay, and posthuman modes of communication. Through installation, video, performance, and AI-mediated feedback, they construct evolving symbolic infrastructures that reframe subjectivity, authorship, perception, and attention.

As artists, they have been part of exhibitions such as Out There In Here, (Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, UK, 2024), Vertigo², (Hyperplex Residency, Frontier Tower, San Francisco, USA, 2025), ADAF, (Athens, Greece, 2025), RARE Accompart’s (On-chain exhibition, Objkt, 2025), OOT Festival (Riverside Studios, London, UK 2025), 2nd International Congress “Art and Design agitated by AI” (UCM, Madrid, Spain). They have also been part of screenings with Anticlone Gallery, Mandrake Theatre during the Frieze Week, (London, UK, 2023), as part of Internet Core congres, (Hangar.org with the Institute of Network Cultures, Barcelona, Spain, 2025), PrimeIntellect “D.AI day” (San Francisco, USA, 2025), OpenSecret, (New York City, USA, 2025), among others. And they have been finalists in SOLO AI award 2024, London & Madrid, and Hyperhouse 2024, Madrid, Spain. Their work on research can be found in their publications in DIFFRACTIONS collective and in the Institute of Network Cultures.
