the wet box is recursion that fails / the object (solid, geometric) cannot be defined / the body conforms to exteriorities, wrapped, faces wrapped. the wet box is a cyberspace cut like a spiral, an incomplete turn. Fracture of language, possibility of opening. “If a horse is plasticized, it cannot be ridden”. Technology is part of feedback systems that constitute cognition / the mapping of the environment, the shape of value, the shape of morality. It reconstructs the pointing finger, the speaking gesture, the hole that looks. the wet box deals with the virtuality of the body that abstracts itself, the sign incapable of defining itself, the language that is performed, the pieces / of an abstract / machine.
the wet box is a recursive linguistic exploration of objects in the digital age; a practical essay on the cybernetic performativity of artificial intelligence and its capacity to constitute ecologies and economies (corporealities, territories, value, and morality) by operating on cognition and space. In this sense, language and its models emerge as technology escaping the object.
the wet box leans toward cybernetic abstraction and non-representationality. Built from noise and low quality, this project leverages AI to work with image, text and sound, appealing to the viewer while remainingn firmly in the realm of abstraction.

Margo’s work is, once again, not Turing-Computable, it’s Deleuze-Computable, that is to say; demonically machinic. To become unbaptized data is to remain in the domain of the Real.
